Harvesting Hope, Empowering Farmers

Our agricultural efforts have led to significant improvements across India. Here are some key highlights:

OUR PROGRAMS
Agricultural Empowerment Program (AEP) – Holistic Farmer Support
Soil, Water & Environment Management

55 units of sprinkler and 25 units of drip irrigation deployed across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to optimize water usage and improve irrigation efficiency.

Nursery established in Rajasthan to support the growth of high-quality plants for farmers and local use.

Soil Testing conducted on 1774 plots in Uttar Pradesh, MP and Rajasthan to help farmers optimize soil health and improve crop production.

15,000 trees planted across Uttar Pradesh to promote environmental sustainability and income diversification

913 aerobic composting units & 280 vermicomposting units established across Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh to promote sustainable waste management and enhance soil health
Fodder & Organic Farming Support

30 units of Super Napier Grass introduced in Uttar Pradesh to provide high-yield fodder for livestock.

46 units established in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to promote organic farming and reduce fodder costs.
Innovative & Small-scale Farming Techniques

43 units implemented in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, making farming profitable even on small farms through fruits and vegetable cultivation.

30 units of Machaan introduced in Uttar Pradesh to utilize vertical space for growing crops, enhancing land use efficiency
Community Engagement & Knowledge Sharing

Wall paintings and IEC materials were used to effectively spread awareness and disseminate knowledge throughout the community, enhancing engagement and understanding among community.
Reviving the Traditional Chopal: Uniting Farmers for Growth
Sonalika CSR has revived the traditional chopal concept by forming farmer clubs in 40 panchayats across five districts of Uttar Pradesh. These clubs facilitate the exchange of agricultural best practices, helping farmers increase yield and reduce costs.
Through these clubs, farmers are empowered to learn from each other, share knowledge, and adopt innovative farming techniques that boost productivity and sustainability.

Digital Solutions & Farmer Access
AGRO Solution – Access to Equipment & Information
Sonalika CSR introduced the “Agro Solutions” application in 2021 to help small farmers rent essential farm equipment and tractors. This app has transformed the way farmers access machinery, significantly increasing productivity.
Through this app, farmers can get information about the local weather and the market (mandi) prices in their area directly. They can even buy and sell tractors and also book a demo for free.
In the last three years, over 13,568 pieces of equipment have been rented, benefiting more than 41,352 small farmers in Uttar Pradesh.

Training, Women Empowerment & Youth Engagement

Enabling Farmers with B-ABLE Foundation:
Sonalika CSR has joined hands with the B-ABLE Foundation to launch a training program for farmers in the Damoh and Katni districts of Madhya Pradesh. The program works as a knowledge-building model, providing local farmers useful insights into cost-effective and eco-friendly farming approaches, like how to improve soil health, create high-quality seeds, and use water efficiently.
In addition, the initiative spreads awareness about relevant government schemes, ensuring farmers make the best use of those to enhance their livelihood. The continuous and multifaceted support has already reached 500 farmers, reportedly increasing harvest yield by 15-20% and decreasing production cost by 5-7%.
Training in NADEP Method: Sustainable Farming with Organic Manure
Sonalika CSR has joined hands with the B-ABLE Foundation to launch a training program for farmers in the Damoh and Katni districts of Madhya Pradesh. The program works as a knowledge-building model, providing local farmers useful insights into cost-effective and eco-friendly farming approaches, like how to improve soil health, create high-quality seeds, and use water efficiently.
Over 400 farmers are being trained in CSA and sustainable farming methods under the initiative, gaining exposure to organic fertiliser production and application processes and soil analysis techniques and learning to adapt farming practices to regional climate.
With training in the NADEP method of organic manure production, locals have created over 5,000 metric tonnes of organic fertiliser to date. The initiative has significantly lowered farming costs in the region and fostered agricultural approaches that are responsive and sensitive to climate change.

Sonalika Kitchen Garden
Sonalika CSR, in collaboration with the B-ABLE Foundation, has initiated the Kitchen Garden Project in the villages of Damoh and Katni Districts of Madhya Pradesh. The program aims to empower female farmers to cultivate their own fresh and organic vegetables for improved nutrition.
High-yield variety vegetable seeds and required training have been provided to over 500 female farmers, enhancing their agricultural output and economic independence.
Soil to Soul
The Indian economy and livelihood are deeply rooted in agriculture. However, the declining interest of young minds in farming is gradually becoming a major concern. Addressing the issue, Sonalika CSR launched a unique initiative, Soil to Soul, forming a bridge between urban and rural farming lives.
The program gives children from urban slums extensive exposure to sustainable farming and gardening techniques. Hands-on workshops and demonstrations help children explore various farming and harvesting techniques, fostering a deeper appreciation for and understanding of modern agriculture practices and concerns.
The initiative reflects Sonalika CSR’s commitment to supporting growth from the grassroots and empowering communities through meaningful engagement.

We took young minds on a beautiful journey through the fields — quite literally! Children learned how our hardworking farmers grow vegetables, understood where their food comes from, and even got their hands a little muddy with fun farm-themed activities. It wasn’t just a learning experience, it was a moment of connection — with the earth, with our food, and with the unsung heroes who feed the nation.
Here’s to growing curiosity, gratitude, and green thumbs!
